he/him

I am a first-year Master of Public Health student at Brown University, a Health Equity Scholar, and a research assistant in the Mathis Lab. Originally from Mississippi, I studied biology and music at Jackson State University. My research interests include health equity, patient-centered science, and community-driven change, which I am excited to explore through my work in the lab.

Before Brown, I worked as a Researcher II in the Department of Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, focusing on preeclampsia and cardiovascular health. Inspired by the Covid-19 pandemic, I have developed a growing interest in mental health, particularly in young people, and I plan to pursue medical school with a focus on psychiatry. Outside of research, I enjoy music, the arts, and connecting with others who are passionate about equity and public health.
